Print Media / Desktop Publishing

Blue Moose Design Services began in 1990's as Desktop publishers using a computer and software available at that time to typically design and create the graphics that accompany text, convert photographs and illustrations into digital images, and manipulate the text and images to display information in an attractive and readable format such as the size and style of type, column width, and spacing.

BMDS now designs page layouts, develops presentations and advertising. Both of the Owners have a background in writing content for use in newsletters or brochures and as an author.

With the list of additional services available through BMDS we can make adjustments or compensate for deficiencies in the original color print or transparency. An entire newspaper, catalog, or book page, complete with artwork and graphics, can be created on the screen exactly as it will appear in print.

Digital files are then provided to professional printers to be used to produce printing plates.

Like photographers and multimedia artists and animators, desktop publishers also can create special effects or other visual images using film, video, computers, or other electronic media.

Brochure, Poster or Flyer - If a poster, flyer or brochure doesn't catch the eye is worthless. A consistent, comprehensive image is what will define and set you and your company or organization apart from the competition. You can have the best product or service available, but without presentation you just don't stand out

Advertisements - People don't buy products—they buy ideas. Ideas are precious: they change lives, command loyalty and build brands. Advertising is merely an opportunity to communicate those ideas, protect market share and reinforce publicity.

Business Cards / Office Stationary - Your business card is usually the first thing you hand to your prospects so it's critical that yours creates enough excitment and impact to encourage them to keep it, increasing the likelyhood that you'll hear from them again later. Letterheads, envelopes etc should be designed to reinforce the company's branding and marketing strategy.

Newsletters / Newspapers - A newsletter isn’t just about “news.”  To be effective, it also needs to contain something of such benefit that your customers feel they are getting something they really want and need
