Photography
A photographer takes pictures of people, places, objects, and events and tries to artistically capture and evoke a mood, feeling, or drama surrounding a particular subject. Photography is both an artistic and technical job with which one can present his or her technical proficiency as well as beautifully composed images. Our photographers uses the camera much the way an artist uses his brush, as a tool to capture a unique perspective of the world around them. One photograph can say so much, for so long a time. Much of the photographs we end up with for our clients are not in a studio environment.
Because we live in a visual age, photography in all its forms is the medium preferred by the public, primarily because it is instantaneous and transcends words. Occasionally a single image can be so powerful it becomes a permanent part of our conscious memory. Digital photographs can be further enhanced using digital technology to improve the photograph. Because we want all our clients to be happy we check individual photographs and digitally remove blemishes or adjust lighting to achieve a final product which is as close as possible to achieving a finished product that takes full advantage of the saying "a picture paints a thousand words"

Making beautiful images is important to us and we genuinely like working with people. We always try to make people very comfortable because when they are comfortable and relaxed the result is more pronounced and they tend to enjoy being photographed.
Portraits - Defined as a likeness of a person, especially of the person’s face. Simply that. But, the word in general use has deeper connotations. A photographic portrait is understood to be a good quality image that not only captures a person’s physical likeness on film, but also something of the person’s character, generally in a manner that is attractive and pleasing to the subject.
Landscapes - Three styles of landscape photography are recognized
Representational - This style results in pictures that show scenery at its most natural and realistic, with no visual manipulation or artifice. It is a straightforward style - what you see is what you get.
Impressionistic - The impressionistic landscape photographer employs photographic techniques that result in images that have vague or elusive qualities. They are less tangible and more unreal, while still retaining their values that make them landscape pictures.
Abstract - could also probably be referred to as the graphic style, since the components of scenery are treated by the photographer as graphic elements, arranged for their compositional values. Natural elements may be rendered as unrecognizable or almost so.Family & Senior Photos - We don’t do typical Family and Senior photos. We don't have a studio for the posed photo style. Within our location are perfect backdrops. Be the way you want to be. That's how your friends and family know you. We aim to capture more than just your physical image, we aim to also capture your individuality and a memory that will always be cherished.

Compilations - These are a fun and different way of having a special keepsake for the family or friends. Digital photography allows us to take numerous images, select the perfect image, and then using a variety of design techniques, create a compilation of several photos that are unique to you, expressing your own interests and personality. Many of our previous clients have really enjoyed being part of the selection and creation process.
The world is full of magic and wonder. Photographs record the beauty that surrounds us even when we don’t see it at the time.
At BMDS we try to capture a moment in time and hope to look back at it and remember what was happening
- the sun on our shoulders,
- the crispness of the air,
- the light dancing on the leaves of the trees,
- the sound of cool water massaging smooth rocks,
- the joy and peace of that instant
