Digital Image Enhancement
Many photograph businesses use the words enhancement and restoration interchangeably, but they are very different.

An 'Enhancement' is bringing out detail, digitally adding borders text or filters, blending photos together, adjusting brightness and contrast to a faded photograph or creating a custom gift.

Enhancement techniques
Enhancement techniques used include (but are not limited to) the following:
Adding or Creating Borders -

blurred, eyeball or custom borders
Applying Effects
Blur the edges of a photo, soften its focus, alter the lighting,
add filters to achieve a professional look to pictures.
Tone and Colorization
Creating professional effects by turning a color photo into black and white or sepia tone.

Merging together photographs and graphics to memorialize an event
Customized Images and Photos
Using Digital enhancement software and techniques an image can be custom designed to suit your needs. You decide which part of the picture you want to print, and actually create different photos for different individuals, all from the same original image
